The Fods are a transatlantic writing and recording partnership, one side in the UK and one in the US, building guitar-forward indie punk rock with some of the best vocalists they can find anywhere. The cast rotates song to song, from old partnerships going back to their '90s student band days in Cheshire, to new blood picked up in the wild west that is the internet.

The material is eclectic on purpose, but it always comes back to loud guitars and energy. Players and singers come in from New York, New Jersey, Toronto, and all over the UK, so no two tracks land the same way, and that's the whole point of it.

They jumped in properly in spring 2023 with a "write an EP in a month" challenge, which gave them the One To Watch EP. Then came the Don't ARgue project, taking dusty 4-track tapes from that mid-'90s Cheshire student band and dragging those songs into the modern world with a pile of indie guest talent. It ended with a seven-track EP, a stack of digipak CDs, and a lot of noise.

2025 was a flood of singles and collaborations, building toward the full LP, and the Does Not Conform To Regulations album finally dropped in June 2026 with The Still Pouring Rain and LUDIOSIS closing the whole thing out. Oh, and they choose not to be on Spotify. This is indie done the old-fashioned way, on their own terms.
