Rock/Pop band from Rome blends pop, rock, soul, with something reminiscent of Irish country and grunge.

Born in Estonia, Mardi Gras is a singer, songwriter, and composer whose musical path began early — studying piano at five, writing songs soon after, and later training in CVT vocal technique at WAF School. A graduate of Georg Ots Tallinn Music College, she has performed across genres from pop and jazz to rock, soul, electronic, and classical, singing with choirs, a cappella groups, orchestras, big bands, and touring ensembles.

From 2009–2013 she toured internationally with the electronic project Sinine, and later worked as a cruise‑ship artist before moving to Italy, where she earned scholarships at Umbria Jazz Clinics (Berklee College of Music) and Fara Music Festival, winning the Best Artist award.

Since 2018 she has been the voice of Mardi Gras, helping shape a new era for the band. Together they've released singles produced by Stuart Epps (Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Oasis, Robbie Williams, Bill Wyman), reimagined tracks like "Shoes," "Satellites and Me," and "Don't Look Back in Anger," and continued the band's long tradition of international collaborations. Mardi Gras' album Playground was mastered by Simon Gibson at Abbey Road Studios, and their music has appeared on Neil Young's Songs of the Times and stages including Sziget Festival.

Some artists carry their whole journey in their voice — the training, the travel, the stages, the miles. Mardi Gras is a musician shaped by craft but driven by heart, able to move between genres without losing the soul of what she does. I'm proud to have her in The INDIE Musician Hub and even prouder to share her story with anyone who still believes in real, lived‑in INDIE music.
