Kimbra Leigh is a multi‑disciplinary artist, author, lyricist, and painter whose work carries the weight of lived experience and the spark of pure creative instinct. As a country, blues, and indie songwriter, she uses her art as her “weapon of choice” in her personal battle with Mild Cognitive Impairment — turning vulnerability into voice, and resilience into rhythm.

Through Rakeman Broomer Arts, the production studio and label she co‑founded with her husband, Kimbra creates across every medium she touches.

Her music — released under AIJaneAIJoe and as a solo artist — blends raw storytelling with emotional honesty, showcased in albums like Summer in My Pocket and Dust on the Bright Things (2026).

She’s known for her unfiltered lyric writing and the behind‑the‑scenes vocal session videos she shares, proving her hands‑on presence in every part of the process.

As an author, she’s published two books, This Child’s Eyes and With a Stroke of the Pen, both rooted in reflection, memory, and the quiet power of truth. Her visual art adds another dimension to her voice — expressive, textured, and deeply personal.

Before dedicating herself fully to her craft, Kimbra worked as an engagement director and regional peer mentor for individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. After her own MCI diagnosis, she became a transparent advocate for using creativity as therapy, showing others that art can be both a lifeline and a legacy.

Kimbra Leigh is an artist who creates because she must — and because the world is better for it.

Kimbra’s voice has that rare mix of warmth and truth — the kind that makes you stop what you’re doing and actually listen. Her vibe is real, her commitment to the arts is undeniable, and the way she shows up for the indie community says everything about who she is. Artists like Kimbra remind us why this movement matters. I’m proud to support her and even prouder to have her as part of The INDIE Musician Hub.
