70sCHILD is a New England–born rock outfit built on decades of friendship, musicianship, and the kind of determination that only comes from unfinished dreams. The story traces back to high school halls in the late '80s, where music first connected the crew — and to 1990, when life pulled everyone into different directions but never fully away from the craft.
Thirty years later, an old friend reached out with a simple request: help record a song he wrote in high school. With no nearby studios and high costs everywhere, the band did what true indie musicians do — they decided to make it happen themselves.
Pulling together gear, building rooms above a garage, and bringing longtime guitarist Tom back into the fold, they dove headfirst into recording their first track, Broken Dreams. None of them had engineered a full production before, but years of performing across New England, countless hours of YouTube tutorials, and a whole lot of trial and error turned the project into something bigger than expected.
On December 24th, more than three decades after it was written, Broken Dreams was finally recorded, produced, and released — a full‑circle moment for Rusty and a defining milestone for 70sCHILD.
The band continues to create with the same spirit that started it all: friendship, curiosity, and the belief that it's never too late to bring a song to life.
70sCHILD has that real‑deal, lived‑in rock energy — the kind you can't fake. You hear the years, the miles, the friendship, and the fire in every note. What they built together — a band, a studio, a second chance at a dream — is exactly what INDIE music is all about. I'm proud to share their sound and even prouder to watch them rise.
